First days in Madrid

Jessica and I decided to go for a short walk of the city before our fiends arrived, and we walked through some cool squares, and looked for a place for dinner, and looked for a place the tourism office reccomended, but we couldnt find it. So we were hungry and tired, from the lack of sleep and ate at this place, but ended up eating for a lot of money and the food wasnt even good.

Jessica ordered a spanish omellete and only ate half because it was mostly eggs, almost no potatoes. Jessica also ordered a sangria, but there was almost no fruit juice, and absolutely no fruit!!! I ordered hot peppers, thinking they would be some flavour...nope there wasnt any...highly dissapointed we walked, and me being still hungry i found a place that sold french cheese, and bought some and a baguette.

Then on Friday jessica and I walked around the city on the other side of the apartment, saw a cool protest against the spanish bank. We walked around and laughed, then came home so we could be here when our friends get here. Well Jessica confused the times, so we were home for a while before they got here. Anyways when they finally did, we chatted and talked before heading out to the Prado museum which was free between 6-8. So we went, saw some interesting art and i guess somewhat enjoyed it.

We then went out for tapas, going to the wrong restuarant first because mary thought it was the right one we wanted to go to, because they both started with a "c" ..HAHA, we had a mystery fish, wasn't too bad, and then moved onto the next place, which had really good tapas...it changed my mind about spanish cuisine. Jessica and I also had gone out for lunch and I had Paella, and jessica had a buritto, which both were very good.
