Holy Toledo!

HI everyone, Jessica here.

On saturday we headed to Toledo. We took a train for about 30 mins and arrived outside the city. We got on the locl bus that dropped us off at a main square. We got a snack and headed out. First stop was the Alcazar, an old fort. It looked cool from the outside, with nice views all around. It was only nice from the outside because the inside was closed for renovations. Oh well, we marched on, up hills and down hills and all around the town. We went into a small museum that used to be a childrens hosipital, then walked to see the big church. It was beautiful. We went down some shopping streets and hit up some of my fav shops....souvenir shops of course!!! We saw the old shul, another old shul (that has nothing in it anymore) and went for lunch. After a yummy lunch (i dont really remember but it was good and hoodas pick) we conitued walking, seeing other buildings along the way.

We made it back into the main square which had this train ride that goes around the city. Of course, i wanted to go on, and so my great husband came with me, leaving Mary and Matt behind to chill out and relax at a bar in the sqaure. The train ride was really cool and we saw tons of parts of the city that we had missed. We even learned some history and cool stories. Upon arriving back at the square, we found Mary and Matt and an empty pitcher of sangria. So, we sat down, ordered another and chilled people watching for a bit.

We headed back to the train station, and because we had time, Yehuda and Matt went on the hunt for groceries for dinner. When we got back to Madrid, we came back to our apartment and with the magic of Yehuda, he made a great meal using only a small frying pan, a small pot and some random ingredients. He made a yummy chicken stirfry! well done hooda! THen we hung out and watched spain defeat paraguay and go into the semi finals of world cup soccer. Tired, we crashed and went to bed
