Lisbon/Lisboa

So I am hearing thanks to Jessicas campaign before leaving, more people are reading my blog.... hahah Just kidding...


Ok so We arrived in Lisbon, not speaking a word of Portugese, not knowing what we are doing in this city, why we even here or anything like that, and jessica panicked just a little bit. Well not that much but there is a bit of worryness when you go somewhere and you have no clue what your next step is supposed to be..well i am used to it since I have lived through that practically every city I went to....ironically enough I didnt feel that in Lisbon, maybe its because Jessica is here with me....calming effect

So we went on the Lisbon bus tour, and got to see the city on one bus before lunch, then we hoppeed off at the train station hopin gto buy tickets, only this train station sells only regional tickets to the suburbs not other cities far away. So we trecked to the next train station, waited in line, baught the tickets to Porto for tomorrow, and then were told this line only sells national not international, so we had to change lines to buy tickets to go from Porto to San Sebastian over night. Not only that but the spanish railway system seperates male and female carts, so we will be seperate for our trip from Porto to San Sebastian..bummer I know.

Then we headed for a quicjk lunch, and took a bus to the castle, which by the way was more of a fortress to protect the city than a castle, as there were courtyards, but no rooms, or even enclosures!! so much for it beign a castle...but Jessica decided we could buy it and convert it intoa pool area....so many dreams...lol

We then took the second bus route, and it was a bit more informative, and nicer views. However the music the bus company chose to play between bus stops can make someone go crazy...just saying...;)

Otherwise when we came back jessica wasnt interested in going out, so I went to a restaurant and brought back chinese to eat at the hotel. Jessica is loooong asleep, but as usual I can not sleep so I am blogging...Hopefully Ill sleep on the train tomorrow..
