So today was fun. It was good as I got a lot of work done for tomorrow. Again im working hard and learning lots.

Although for everyones enjoyment I will share an interesting thing.

We weren`t able to get a fresh shipment of fish today so I used frozen backup fish. the thing is we dont usually sell that many cod during the day so I figured 20 portions all day would be enough for the day and to start for tomorrow in case the fish shipment came late. well it was a great idea until 1030 when a large table came in and most of the customers ordered cod. Now I had 2 pieces left and 7 orders, do the math. I was kind of embarassed even though no one could have predicted it. I told the chef in frenglish and he said to just get some more from the freezer, and defrost them and get them in the oven as quickly as possible. I appologized and the chef said it wasn`t a problem and the fresh fish will come tomorrow morning, and not to worry. Thinking that they would say we don`t have cod left to any future customers, I didnt think of defrosting more fish, I was wrong, and of course the next two customers ordered cod as well. What luck!!

Anyways it was funny and the chef was really good about it all.
